BCF offers Donor Advised Funds and more
The Boonville Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Central Missouri, provides a very easy and cost-effective way to organize your giving through a donor-advised fund.
Donor advised funds are an attractive alternative to private foundations, offering more flexibility, confidentiality, and maximum tax benefits. They are quick and easy to establish, and inexpensive to maintain. You can donate cash, stock, or other hard-to-value assets, such as real estate, closely-held business interests, or life insurance policies and more. Because donor advised funds are administered by a public charity, you’ll receive an immediate tax deduction for your donation. You can then take your time deciding where and when to give your charitable dollars from your fund. There’s no annual distribution requirement, so you can grant as little or as much as you wish. You can also leave a legacy of generosity by naming successors who can advise the fund after your lifetime. And the money in donor advised funds is invested (either by the Community Foundation or your own personal advisor), allowing your charitable dollars to grow tax-free over time.
Choosing to work with the Boonville Community Foundation connects you with a mission-based organization that understands the needs of the community and can help you make a greater impact locally.
Effective and meaningful giving does not necessarily require great wealth or a fantastic philanthropic vision—just thoughtfulness and planning.
