The Boonville Community Foundation Legacy Fund
The City of Boonville, Missouri, recognized that the power of philanthropy could address some social, charitable needs in their community. In early 2012 the City established the Boonville Community Foundation in partnership with the Community Foundation of Central Missouri.
The Boonville Community Foundation Legacy Fund’s purpose is to improve the lives of Boonville citizens. This provides the foundation the opportunity to respond to changing and unexpected community needs that often cannot be anticipated at the time the gift is made. We hope to grow their Charitable Legacy Fund and use its earnings, and some principal, for enhancing and growing Boonville Community.
The Katy Bridge Redevelopment Project Fund
The Katy Bridge Redevelopment Project Fund will be used to restore the historic Katy Bridge by providing matching grants to other charitable restoration organizations to help in the rehabilitation of the Bridge. The vision for the Katy Bridge is an operational, lift span bicycle/pedestrian bridge that creates a unique, one-of-a-kind recreation experience, scenic outlook on the Missouri River and provides transportation and engineering educational opportunities.
Tuttle-Thacher Charitable Fund
This particular donor advised fund was established by the Thachers in honor of their family heritage. The Fund will receive periodic donations from the family; they will decide from time to time which charitable organizations they wish to support with money from the Fund. The Boonville Community Foundation will review their wishes and make grants accordingly.
Boonville Animal Shelter Fund
The Fund receives donations from the public, which are then used for the care of animals at the Boonville shelter. The Fund also serves as a collection and investment point for donations which will be used to build a new animal shelter in the Boonville area. The current shelter is out of date, too small, and in need of significant upgrades. A new shelter will provide a more spacious place for animal care and services.
Central Missouri Cancer Memorial Park Fund
This Fund receives public donations by anyone interested in supporting the construction and later maintenance of the Central Missouri Cancer Memorial Park to be located in Boonville, Missouri. The Park will be a place for persons to be inspired, meditate, grieve, or otherwise consider the lives of persons affected by cancer, their families, and those seeking a cure of the prevalent disease.
Cooper County Memorial Hospital Foundation
This fund is for the benefit of needs and services of the Cooper County Memorial Hospital. Overseen by an advisory committee of hospital board members, the fund receives donations from the public. The assets of the fund are invested so that as the fund grows over time more dollars are available to enhance the services and offerings of the Boonville’s local hospital.
The McIntyre-Conway Fund, a donor advised fund established in 2015, is an endowment fund. The founding donors intend to grow the corpus and then make grants from the fund to their charitable interests. As with all donor advised funds, the donors make recommendations for grants; the Community Foundation then reviews and makes those grants accordingly.
Korte-Williams Family Charitable Fund
The Korte-Williams Family Charitable Fund will receive periodic donations from the family; they will decide from time to time which charitable organizations they wish to support with money from the Fund. The Fund names successor advisors. The Boonville Community Foundation staff will review their wishes and make grants accordingly.
